Vinyl Wrap Tools & Accessories
3M Design Line Knifeless Tape - 50m (164ft)
-3.5 mm (1/8” nominal) Width - Patented design stretches slightly and turns easily in any direction for one-of-a-kind works of art - Tape can be broken with hands for faster application - For single layer vinyl applications - Great for heavy bends and curved areas - Much better pliability than Finish Line - Not as strong as Finish Line which means the inner filament can break easily when trying to free it from the green carrier.
Wrap Magnets - 6 Pack
This is a 6 magnet pack which I'd recommend having. Magnets will be your extra hands and will help hold the vinyl in place. These have a solid handle on them which make them easy to grab and hold onto. Any magnets will do the job so if you prefer something else then feel free to switch it up! **Always ensure that you do not leave magnets resting on an area which has already been wrapped!**
Monkey Strips Felt Buffers for Squeegees for Car Wrapping and Graphic Installation 5/pk
Monkey Strips are pre-cut felt buffers that are ideal for all types of graphic installations. These durable buffers have a low friction surface that allows the squeegee to glide across the film and reduce common scratches to almost zero.
Wrap Sticks
These are good and affordable Wrap Sticks. They include 3 different hardness and 3 microfiber buffers. Use these for seal tucking and vinyl molding or hard to reach areas.
3M Knifeless Finish Line Vinyl Wrap Cutting Tape 50 Meter Roll (164 Ft)
- 3. 5 mm (1/8 nominal) Width - Use for most wrap applications Conformable around bumpers, door handles, mirrors, etc - Translucent tape so you can see exactly where your line is and reposition the cut line as needed - Absolutely no residue - Works better when you don't need to make sharp turns or curves. - Great for straight lines and can cut through multiple layers of vinyl.
NT CUTTER 30 Degree Blades
NT CUTTER 9mm Snap-Off Precision Blades, 30 Degree Blades, 100-Blades. Great durability, extremely good value and very sharp. One pack of these blades should last you awhile.
Soft Magnetic Tape Measure
120 Inch 3 Meter Soft Tape Measure with Magnetic Tip. Great for measuring around panels and bumpers. The magnets could be a little stronger so you can always modify this one or make your own.
3M VHB 2-Sided Tape
3M Scotch 5952 VHB Tape: 1 in. x 15 ft. (Black). This is extremely strong two-sided tape which is great for re-installing lettering and emblems.
EZ-Reach Plastic Triangle Tool
This triangle tool is by far one of my favorite tools. I use this tool to tuck vinyl between seals and edges. I also use it as a pry tool for interior pieces as well as various other things.
Plastic Tool Kit For Removing Trim
5pcs Plastic trim removal kit. Something you'll want to have around when it comes to removing plastic interior panels or other panels which can be easily damaged my metal tools.
Plastic Clip Replacement Kit
465 Pieces Car Retainer Clips & Plastic Fasteners Kit - 19 of the most popular sizes. Great to have in case you break or lose any clips. I keep this exact kit at my shop.
Wrap Tool Pouch
This is handy to have in order to keep your essential tools close by and organized.
Vinyl Wrap Cutter For Large Pieces
Vinyl Wrap Film Cutter - Teflon coated and glides nicely but can be unsafe if using it near paint. Come with 10 extra blades.
Air Release Pen
Necessary for releasing air from air bubbles.
Wrap Sticks
These are cheaper and less durable but will get the job done.
Vvivid 3 Pack Magnetic Squeegees
These are handy to have. You can simply place the squeegee against most panels and it will stay there while you wrap with both hands. This pack comes with 3 different stiffnesses, and we use them during in person workshops.
Heat Gun
This Craftsman is a more affordable heat gun which has multiple settings using a trigger finger sliding trigger which is personally my preference since it's easy to slide the trigger all the way up for max heat and all the way down to turn it off. A heat gun like this is more than enough to get the job done. What's important is that you find one you like using and get familiar with it. It's also important to be able to replace it with the same one since most heat guns don't have a terrible long lifespan when using it for hours a day
MagStrapz Heat Gun Holder
As you may see in most of my videos. I have a MagStrap attached to my heat gun which allows me to place it against the vehicle or on a rolling cart. This saves time and strain on your body from having to pick it up all of the time.
Precision Knife
This is my favorite knife to use. I've been using it for years. I really enjoy how it fits comfortably, has blade stability and allows you to easily extend or retract the blade.
Hook Tool Set
This is great to have for disassembly. In some cases we need to use these types of tools to undo clip, pop out push pins and even in some cases use to fix a crease or fold at the edge of the vinyl.
4" Basic Blue Squeegee - Soft-Medium
Nothing fancy, but a basic blue squeegee which does a great job of conforming over and around curved areas. Ideal for beginners or even professionals.
Wrap Glove
There are many wrap gloves on the market, the important part is that you have one. You'll need this to be able to finish up edges and corners using your fingers. A good wrap glove has a reduced friction rate and will glide nicely over the film which will reduce the chances of dragging and binding the film.
Snitty Concealed Safety Vinyl Cutter
For Safely Cutting Long or Short Sections of Vinyl. This is a great tool to have because you can safely cut vinyl near the paint with a much lower chance of damaging the surface. It will also protect you from accidentally slipping a potentially hurting yourself.
Basic Gold Squeegee (Firm)
A basic gold squeegee but an effective and essential tool to have. Good to have when you need tuck into larger areas such as between the fender and bumper. In some cases, using the blue squeegee is too soft for the application and this is another time when the gold can be used.
3m 301+ Masking Tape 0.5" (half inch)
This masking tape is my favorite to use. I normally buy this by the 24 roll box. It's pliable, stretches a little and leaves little to no residue. The added effect of the pliability saves you time when masking. I recommend using 1.5" or even 2" but it's also nice to have 0.5" for smaller areas.
3m 301+ Masking Tape 1.5" (one and a half inch)
This masking tape is my favorite to use. I normally buy this by the 24 roll box. It's pliable, stretches a little and leaves little to no residue. The added effect of the pliability saves you time when masking. I recommend using 1.5" or even 2" as it will cover larger areas over less time but it's also nice to have 0.5" for smaller areas.
3M 301+ Masking Tape 2" (two inch)
This masking tape is my favorite to use. I normally buy this by the 24 roll box. It's pliable, stretches a little and leaves little to no residue. The added effect of the pliability saves you time when masking. I recommend using 1.5" or even 2" as it will cover larger areas over less time but it's also nice to have 0.5" for smaller areas.
70% Isopropyl Alcohol
No need to dilute this. Simply add it to a spray bottle and go. Any brand of 70% will do the same job.
PPF Squeegees x 3
These squeegees will do the job when it comes to installing PPF. Minimizes scratches and reduces damage while squeegeeing. Durable enough to get you going and come in 3 different levels of stiffness.
Chemical Guys PPF Spray Bottle for PPF
This type of spray bottle is often used for PPF installs, I'd even recommend having 2 of them. They're great for panels like doors and fenders. In turn, I use one of these spray bottles with a smaller and also one much larger canister type which is mainly used for very large panels. Each one serves a purpose. In the past I've used cheap versions of these type of spray bottles and one thing they have in common is that often they can deteriorate and leave very fine plastic particles in your shampoo mixture. These particles will contaminate the film which can make it tedious to remove or even impossible. Spending an extra couple of dollars on a better quality sprayer is worth it.
3-Gallon Heavy Duty Foaming Sprayer for PPF
This cannister can hold much more fluid which is great for doing large areas, or even the entire vehicle while saving time on re-mixing and re-filling your slip solution. The foaming action is what makes this sprayer different from others. When your slip solution is foamy, this helps prevent the adhesive from making pre-mature contact with the painted surface which can help minimize adhesive lines and dry patches. There are many different versions of these online but this one is by a reputable brand.
Car Panel and Table Squeegee for PPF
You'll want this so that you can wet and then squeegee off your table and panels prior to installing or cutting out your PPF. It's important to use this to clear the surface of your table and panels of any dust, debris and loose particles. Using a cloth is not recommended as a cloth can leave link or fine microfiber particles which will be seen through the PPF.
